Las Vegas starter Isaaka Ienimea pitched effectively against the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at The Strip. The left-hander led his team to a 5-2 win. Ienimea picked up the win for Las Vegas, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. Las Vegas's record now stands at 8-17, placing them last in the Premier League.

The Rainbow Mermaids had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Flamingos going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the slugging first baseman Dewitt Hopper came to the plate. Hopper hit a solo home run on a 1-2 fastball from Northern Virginia hurler Ratko Davidovic. It was Hopper's 2nd home run of the year.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Hopper said.
