Lakers Win at Toledo, 4-1

Echo Park and Toledo met at Pacesetter Park in front of a lively crowd.
Echo Park right-hander Jordan Calhoun pitched his team to victory over the Toledo Stingers at Pacesetter Park. The final score was 4-1. In 7 innings, Calhoun surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed no runs.
Abraham Koen had a big run-scoring double for the Lakers in the top of the second inning. With Echo Park leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a changeup from Ricky Sellers and stroked the double to right. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lakers ahead, 3-0.
Koen attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
The Lakers sit in 9th place in the Third League with a record of 12-16.
