Victory Over Knights Takes Toledo to 12-7
|
The Stingers had to overcome a good performance from Kingston Township pitcher Chase Sims to claim a 5-0 win at Cloverdale Legion Park. Sims went 7 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. Toledo reliever Enrique Castillo was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Chase Sims took the loss for Kingston Township. Toledo, now 12-7, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Toledo third baseman Sze Qi contributed to the cause with a double in the top of the fifth. For the game, Qi went 1-4 with a double.
"It was a solid team effort," said Qi after the game.
