Behind a solid performance from catcher Ryan Wood, the Echo Park Lakers defeated the Seattle Rocketeers, 13-7. Wood hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Lakers. Echo Park reliever Francisco Rivas got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Alain Arnaud was tagged with the loss. The Lakers are off to a tough start, getting just their 6th win in 17 games.

Echo Park relied on the hitting of Philip Todd to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Lakers on top, 2-0. For the game, Todd had 2 home runs and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Echo Park manager Jordan Calhoun.
