Divided Sneak Past Rocketeers, 4-3
|
D.C. Divided starter Van Hileman was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Seattle Rocketeers, 4-3. The win was Yeon-kyu Kim's in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Kenny Luker took the loss for Seattle. The Rocketeers fall to 5-7 and continue their wobbly start to the 2040 season.
Nick Boyd was the walk-off hero for D.C.. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Divided pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Seattle manager Andrew Powell. "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
