Cattlemen Bridle Bowties, 4-2
|
Buckhead got a terrific performance from pitcher Paul Haines, but it wasn't enough to beat the Ft. Worth Cattlemen. Ft. Worth won the 5 Paces Park contest, 4-2. Haines was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. Ft. Worth has now won 3 in a row.
Ft. Worth used the timely hitting of Mun-wah Law to capture the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cattlemen on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Law.
