A nice crowd turned out to see the Ft. Worth Cattlemen and Buckhead Bowties clash at 5 Paces Park.

The Ft. Worth Cattlemen defeated the Buckhead Bowties, 11-4, at 5 Paces Park. Ft. Worth center fielder Kolby Hay was named player of the game for his superb performance. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The Cattlemen saw their win-loss record go to 54-46. At the same time, the Bowties fell to 50-50.

In the top of the first, Hay pounced on a 2-1 curveball from Leon von Stroheim and hit a 2-run home run. It put Ft. Worth on top, 2-0.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Scott Thompson said.
