Dirty Reds Saddle Outlaws with 4-1 Loss
|
The San Mateo Dirty Reds got a stellar performance from pitcher Faisal bin Nabeel, who handcuffed the Nashville offense en route to a 4-1 win at Lang Park. bin Nabeel went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-3. Urs Ehles, credited with the save, is now 14 for 18 in save opportunities.
The Dirty Reds grabbed the lead in the bottom of the first. With one out, Tae-cho Han hit a 3-run home run off Lorenzo Fabián, putting San Mateo in front, 3-1. For Han, it was his 21st home run of the season.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said bin Nabeel.
The Dirty Reds, at 57-40, sit in third place in the Silver League.
