Voodoo Get 4-2 Win Versus Hollywood
The New Orleans Voodoo got a stellar performance from pitcher Gary Ashley, who handcuffed the Hollywood offense en route to a 4-2 win at The Hollywood Bowl. Grover Lowdermilk closed the door for New Orleans, picking up his 6th save of the year. The win gives New Orleans a record of 12-9.

New Orleans used the bat of Jerry Yates to get the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Voodoo ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

After the game, New Orleans manager Chase Sims applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
