Philadelphia 1776 left fielder Ricardo Yates had a good game, even if his team did not. The BC dropped a 9-4 decision to Cleveland at Factory of Sadness. Yates went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Browns own a robust 63-33 mark.
The BC had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Browns going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 27-year old first baseman Lauren Hilfiker came to the plate. Hilfiker hit a 3-run home run on a 2-1 fastball from Philadelphia 1776 hurler Sergio Gómez. It was Hilfiker's 15th home run of the year.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Hilfiker.
