Rodríguez Chosen SR's Best Pitcher Wednesday, September 28th, 2039 Manny Rodríguez was overpowering this season for the Long Island Ducks and earned the 2039 USSL Rookie Pitcher of the Year Award for his efforts. In a standout year he went 9-7 in 21 starts with 145 strikeouts in 135 innings and a 1.40 ERA. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Doug Ross of the Long Island Ducks finished second in voting, while Zhao-hui Li of the Amarillo Warheads finished third.
