20-Game Hitting Streak for Kino Thursday, August 25th, 2039 The number just keeps getting higher. Amarillo shortstop Norihisa Kino has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 3 hits in 6 at-bats as the Amarillo took the 13-3 win over the Phoenix Hotspur Academy at Ballpark of Fresno. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Phoenix manager John Aston said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Norihisa Kino singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. Kino is batting at a .301 pace this season, picking up 114 hits in 379 at-bats with 4 home runs, 37 RBIs and 49 runs scored. |
