Quebec City's Sifuentes Gets SR Player of the Week Monday, July 18th, 2039 Quebec City fans have something to crow about today as Quebec City right fielder Esteban Sifuentes nabbed the USSL Rookie Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Sifuentes. He posted a .440 average (11-for-25) this past week with 1 home run, 6 RBIs, and 5 runs scored. This year Sifuentes has socked 67 hits in 238 at-bats for a .282 average with 10 home runs. He is getting on base at a .317 pace and his totals also include 42 RBIs and 31 runs scored. |
