Gomillion Picked Best Player Monday, September 5th, 2039 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the USPL Double A, but last week Vicente Gomillion of the Springfield Shooters reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Gomillion rocked opposing pitching for a .385 average (10-for-26), 5 home runs and 10 RBIs to come away with the award. Looking at his present stats, Gomillion has compiled a .269 batting average in 43 games with a .335 on-base percentage, while hitting 14 home runs and driving in 37 runs. |
