Loons Lose Rodríguez for Season Wednesday, August 24th, 2039 Alonso Rodríguez will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Minnesota reliever could miss the remainder of the year. Rodríguez was injured while throwing a pitch in the Loons-Grasshoppers clash at Loony Bin recently. Doctors said he has bone chips in his elbow and would be out a minimum of 5 months. Running the numbers on Rodríguez for the year, he has made 7 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 0-0 won-lost mark with a 1.12 ERA. In pitching 8 innings, he has totaled 8 strikeouts and 8 walks. |
