Popoola Gone for Season in Chesapeake

The Chesapeake Continentals were dealt a blow today when reliever Miracle Popoola left the game with an undisclosed injury. The team has now revealed that Popoola has suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament and will most likely miss the rest of the season as a result of the injury.

This season Popoola has chalked up a 3.70 ERA while ringing up 1 save with 3 wins and no losses. He has made 27 relief appearances, pitching 56 innings, giving up 51 hits, and holding opponents to a .233 batting average. Popoola has also recorded 52 strikeouts and allowed 32 walks.
