Chesapeake's Tejeda Will Miss Season Monday, August 8th, 2039 When Edgardo Tejeda was hurt against the San Bernardino Grasshoppers, the Chesapeake Continentals were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 26-year-old starting pitcher suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Tejeda would miss 13 months of the season. So far this season, Tejeda has logged a 4-7 record with a 4.81 ERA. He has started 11 games, hurled 58 innings and registered 30 strikeouts and 27 walks. |
