Player of the Week: Minnesota's Oort Monday, July 18th, 2039 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the USPL Double A, but last week Anthon Oort of the Minnesota Loons reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Oort rocked opposing pitching for a .591 average (13-for-22), no home runs and 4 RBIs to come away with the award. Presently Oort is batting .335 with 74 hits and 1 home run. He has knocked in 24 runs and scored 26 times. |
