Manchester Whitewashes Athletic Club KC Academy Wednesday, June 22nd, 2039 It wasn't easy but Eric Manchester made it look that way. Manchester silenced the Athletic Club KC Academy, 4-0, in a Marquette Miners triumph at KC Academy Field today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Manchester said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 3 walks and 4 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."
