Reliever of the Year Award Goes to Cherry

At the young age of only 23, Jerry Cherry has been named the M3L Double A Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2039.

The future appears bright for the Marquette Miners relief ace, who captured the award with 5 saves in 19 relief appearances, 86 strikeouts in 76.2 innings and a record of 7-3 to go with his 2.35 ERA.

He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Mamadou Boutin of the Akron Blimps finished second in voting, while Brandon Hughes of the Billings Polar Bears finished third.
