Soto Shuts Out Atoms Monday, August 8th, 2039 Richland's Javier Soto brought his best stuff to Atoms Field today, shutting down and shutting out the Bethesda Atoms 2-0. He racked up 9 strikeouts, surrendered 3 hits and issued 2 walks on his way to the victory. "We barely made him work at all," Bethesda manager Chris Johnson said later. "Richland could probably pitch him again tomorrow if they wanted." So far this year Soto has made 6 starts, tossed 41.1 innings, struck out 36 batters and walked 10.
