Skerrett Selected 3AA Player of the Week Monday, July 26th, 2038 27-year-old Don Skerrett made a few Asheville headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and M3L Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 8 hits in 16 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Skerrett collected 4 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 5 runs. In 61 games Skerrett is hitting .233 this season with 50 hits, 9 home runs, 30 RBIs, 31 walks, .332 OBP and has scored 26 runs. |
