USSL Triple A #1 Pitcher Named Sunday, October 9th, 2039 Rocks ace Jesús Fernández is the latest USSL Triple A Outstanding Pitcher Award trophy winner. The Plymouth star shined on the diamond time and again this year and finished with an outstanding 7-4 record. In 16 starts he tossed 118.1 innings, posted 92 strikeouts and sported a 1.75 ERA. Opposing batters hit .176 when Fernández was pitching. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Melvin Turner of the Plymouth Rocks finished second in voting, while Scott Thompson of the Tortolita Drummers finished third.
