Geunhye Kyoung Hurt, Out for Year Saturday, September 17th, 2039 The doctors have spoken and Geunhye Kyoung of the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves didn't like what he heard. The 27-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Kyoung sustained his season-ending injury during the Alloway Halberds game yesterday at Thunderbirds Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Phoenix medical staff reported Kyoung had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8 months. This year Kyoung has made 11 relief appearances with 4 saves. In 12 innings, he has fanned 5 hitters and recorded 2 wins and 1 loss with a 5.25 ERA. |
