Year Ends for Martín Aguilar in Syracuse
Friday, September 2nd, 2039
Martín Aguilar of the Starks just might have to call it quits for the season. The 32-year-old Syracuse starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Vermont Lake Monsters recently at Stark Stadium. Aguilar suffered a stretched elbow ligament while throwing a pitch. The Starks medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 11 months.
This year Aguilar has a 1-0 mark in 0 starts with a 2.93 ERA. He has given up 19 hits in 15.1 innings, struck out 15 and issued 18 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .297 batting average against him.
