USSL Triple A Picks Top Performer Monday, July 4th, 2039 26-year-old Doug Becker made a few Sunset District headlines during this past week as the rookie shortstop proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USSL Triple A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 14 at-bats to put up a .714 average. Becker collected 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Becker is hitting .274 so far this season with 25 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He has 49 hits including 6 home runs, 18 walks and .335 OBP. |
