Kangas Scoops up PAAA Top Hurler Award Saturday, October 8th, 2039 When the name of Raimo Kangas appeared on the Bakersfield lineup card in 2039, it was a virtual guarantee of a victory or at least a well-pitched game. For his brilliant performance this season he was named the USPL Triple A Outstanding Pitcher Award winner today. He started 20 games, running up a 10-3 record and a 2.47 ERA. Kangas held opponents to a .192 average while striking out 83, walking 37 and allowing 75 hits in 109.1 innings of work. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. David Silva of the Brinkley Belugas finished second in voting, while José Guillén of the Calgary Lynx finished third.
