Brinkley's Balerio Sidelined for Season Friday, July 1st, 2039 When Edgar Balerio was hurt against the Jersey City Tritons, the Brinkley Belugas were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 30-year-old center fielder suffered a ruptured medial collateral ligament running the bases in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Balerio would miss 10-11 months of the season. So far this season Balerio has gotten 25 hits in 125 at-bats for a .200 batting average with 3 home runs.
