Moreno Pitches Shutout Monday, August 29th, 2039 Athletic Club KC Reserves pitcher Jorge Moreno did his job to perfection today, blanking the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds at KC Reserve Stadium. He scattered 6 hits while striking out 6 in the 8-0 shutout. "All I did was not allow any runs," he joked after the game. "I mean, technically, that's what they pay me to do, right?" This year Moreno has pitched 45.2 innings over no relief appearances, picking up no saves and held opponents to a .247 average. Moreno has a 4-1 record with a 3.94 ERA and 35 strikeouts.
