3L Outstanding Pitcher Award Winner Announced Friday, November 4th, 2039 When the name of Jorge Otero appeared on the Mississippi lineup card in 2039, it was a virtual guarantee of a victory or at least a well-pitched game. For his brilliant performance this season he was named the Menard's Third League Outstanding Pitcher Award winner today. He started 22 games, running up a 11-4 record and a 2.18 ERA. Otero held opponents to a .223 average while striking out 155, walking 27 and allowing 121 hits in 144.1 innings of work. Hermenegildo Beliago of the Brooklyn Dodgers finished second in voting, while Currito Fonseca of the Kingston Township Knights finished third. |
