Phansalker Shuts Out Montana Sunday, September 18th, 2039 Magic was in the air and on the mound at Athletics Park today as Roman Phansalker held the Montana Pandas spellbound in his 4-0 shutout victory. The Athletic Club KC pitcher went the distance, rang up 9 strikeouts, walked 0 and held the Pandas to 1 hit to garner the win. "He just had us in his thrall," Montana manager Andrew Schupick said later. "We couldn't put anything together against him." On the season Phansalker has compiled a 12-6 mark with a 2.39 ERA in 24 starts. In pitching 158 innings he has 109 strikeouts and 51 walks while limiting the opposition to a .213 batting average.
