3L Player of the Week Chosen Monday, September 5th, 2039 A battle-tested Alfredo Martínez declared war on opposing pitchers last week, attacking the ball like the well-schooled veteran he is. Today the 34-year-old Toledo right fielder collected the Menard's Third League Player of the Week Award. He wrapped up the week with a .412 average, 14 hits in 34 at-bats, 7 home runs, 13 RBIs and 14 runs scored. In 93 games this season Martínez has compiled a .327 batting average with 123 hits and 29 home runs. He has also scored 74 times and knocked in 87 runs. |
