Butler of D.C. Player of the Week Monday, August 29th, 2039 26-year-old Bill Butler sent shock waves through Menard's Third League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Menard's Third League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Butler made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .714 average, 10 hits in 14 at-bats, no home runs and 2 runs batted in. Where the D.C. Divided right fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Butler certainly made his mark last week. Currently Butler is batting .306 with 8 home runs and 36 RBIs. |
