Relief Star Wins 3L Top Pitcher Honors Monday, August 1st, 2039 John Riggleman has been around the league long enough to know that relievers are often overlooked. That has never stopped him from doing what he does best -- and he did it extremely well in July and stole away with the Menard's Third League Pitcher of the Month award. The Knights bullpen ace collected 10 saves and 11 strikeouts in 11.1 innings, holding the opposition to a .205 average and posting a 1.59 ERA and a 1-1 record. Looking at his pitching stats so far this season, Riggleman has 15 relief appearances, pitched 13.1 innings and fashioned a 1-1 record with a 3.38 ERA. He has recorded 10 saves, struck out 13 and allowed opposing clubs to hit .268 when he is on the hill. |
