Butler's Strong Week Earns 3L Trophy Monday, June 27th, 2039 26-year-old Bill Butler sent shock waves through Menard's Third League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Menard's Third League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Butler made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .615 average, 16 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs and 4 RBI. Where the D.C. Divided right fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Butler certainly made his mark last week. This season in 45 games Butler is batting .349 with 5 home runs, 22 RBIs and has scored 35 times. |
