Murakami Boosts Hit Streak to 35 Games Friday, August 12th, 2039 Nobuhisa Murakami ran his hitting streak to 35 straight games today at The BFIB, when he collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the St. Louis Coeur dropped the game, 4-2, to the San Mateo Dirty Reds. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Murakami said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Nobuhisa Murakami flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 9th. Murakami is hitting .349 so far this season with 32 RBIs and 57 runs scored. He has 116 hits including 3 home runs, 21 walks and .385 OBP. |
