Murakami Hits in 33 Straight Games Wednesday, August 10th, 2039 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Nobuhisa Murakami did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at The BFIB today. For the last 33 games in a row, the 30-year-old second baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the St. Louis Coeur beat the San Mateo Dirty Reds 1-0 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Murakami told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the St. Louis clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Nobuhisa Murakami walked in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, flied out in the 9th and walked in the 11th. Currently Murakami has 3 home runs and a .346 batting average. |
