Best PA Reliever Named
Friday, September 23rd, 2039
At the age of 23, Scott Richardson says he still has a lot to learn about life in USPL Single A.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Myrtle Beach Seahawks reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2039 USPL Single A Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Lake Worth Corridor, Florida native said.
For the season, Richardson had 5 saves in 27 relief appearances, which totaled 80.1. He fanned 129 betters, while walking 30 and put up a record of 10-1 to go with his 1.90 ERA.
He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 10. Gerard Tremwade of the Myrtle Beach Seahawks finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Chris Floyd of the York Revolution finished third with 1 first place vote.
