Chicago Starter Named PA's #1 Pitcher Monday, August 1st, 2039 William Burkett took a much-deserved turn in the spotlight earlier today as he accepted the USPL Single A Pitcher of the Month award for July. The 22-year-old Tula starter is a relative newcomer to the league, but nonetheless racked up an impressive 4-0 won-lost record in 5 starts. This month he fanned 38 batters in 36.2 innings and compiled a 0.49 ERA. This season Burkett has a 8-6 record with a 2.26 ERA. |
