You-liang Yang Named SA's Best Player
Thursday, September 29th, 2039
At the age of 22, You-liang Yang of the Caldwell Chiefs could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2039 was good enough to win the center fielder the USSL Single A Outstanding Hitter Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .277 batting average this year, as well as a .333 on-base percentage. He played 96 games and racked up 107 hits, 25 doubles, 6 triples, 13 home runs, 58 RBIs and 53 runs scored.
He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 10. Yong-hong Ren of the Caldwell Chiefs finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Yoshihito Kichikawa of the Caldwell Chiefs finished third.
