SA Hands Out Reliever of the Year Award
Sunday, September 25th, 2039
At the age of 22, Benny Berry says he still has a lot to learn about life in USSL Single A.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Grim Reapers reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2039 USSL Single A Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Yucca Valley, California native said.
For the season, Berry had 6 saves in 23 relief appearances, which totaled 43.1. He fanned 59 betters, while walking 16 and put up a record of 6-3 to go with his 0.83 ERA.
He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Vasile Alexandrescu of the Caldwell Chiefs finished second in voting, while Logan Barker of the Alameda Airmen finished third.
