No Late-Season Magic Coming: Laredo Out of Playoffs Monday, September 5th, 2039 It's a "gut-wrenching feeling," Laredo Hawks third baseman Kawenaula Alohalani said, for the team to have gotten so close to a playoff berth, only to be eliminated in the waning days of the season. The club was officially eliminated from the postseason chase today. The Hawks have missed the playoffs 16 times in their 19 years as a USSL Single A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2036. In the last 10 seasons, the Hawks have missed the playoffs 8 times. Laredo last won the SL A Championship in 2037. |
