SA's Top Pitcher in August Is Luther Thursday, September 1st, 2039 There's something about a young rookie winning the USSL Single A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Martin Luther, a 19-year-old starter for the Phoenix Hotspur U-21. In August, he topped off the month with a 4-0 mark and 1.26 ERA in 4 starts, tossed 28.2 innings, fanned 27 and held opposing teams to a .189 average. This season Luther has compiled a 7-4 mark with a 3.45 ERA in 18 starts. |
