Hunt Sensational, 5-for-5
Thursday, June 9th, 2039
Speaking with reporters after a dominating hitting performance, Matthew Hunt said his club's tilt with the Grand Forks Caterpillars "felt almost like batting practice." The 23-year-old second baseman went a remarkable 5-for-5 at the plate.

"I saw the ball well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted," he recalled later.

However, his sensational day wasn't enough for the Cape Coral Reefers, who were topped by the Caterpillars, 1-0.

"It's a good lesson for him, I guess," Reefers manager Jared Gilbert said. "Sometimes Matthew is going to lose. But I would rather him go 5-for-5 and lose than go 0-for-5 and lose."

Matthew Hunt singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 11th.

This season Hunt is batting .234 with 26 hits, no home runs, 3 RBIs, .336 OBP and has scored 10 runs.
