Smokies Muñóz Snags 3A Player of the Week Monday, July 25th, 2039 So far in his young career, Jorge Muñóz has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the M3L Single A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 20-year-old Tennessee Smokies shortstop hit at a torrid .429 clip as he collected 6 hits in 14 at-bats, 2 home runs, 3 RBIs and 4 runs scored. For the season Muñóz is hitting .306, batted in 27 runs with 3 home runs and 31 runs scored. |
