PL Newcomer of the Year Award Handed Out Friday, November 4th, 2039 It was an impressive debut for Greenville first baseman Philip Visscher. For his solid performance, he has been chosen the best of the 2039 freshman class in the United States Premier League. The 22-year-old novice carved out a .304 average during the regular season, playing in 100 games and gathering 109 hits in 359 at-bats. Visscher hit 21 home runs while driving in 57 runs and scoring 70 times. He also picked up 61 walks to post a .409 on-base percentage. Nicky Bogdan of the Boston Patriots finished second in voting, while Chan-ho Shinn of the Las Vegas Flamingos finished third. |
