2039 PL Gold Ball Named Friday, November 4th, 2039 The New Orleans Voodoo have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Gary Ashley, this year's United States Premier League Gold Ball selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Ashley compiled a 13-4 record in 22 starts, tallied 173 strikeouts in 150.1 innings and recorded a 2.57 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .213 batting average against him. Jesús Vidro of the Hollywood Shredders finished second in voting, while Nicky Bogdan of the Boston Patriots finished third. |
