PL Approves Philadelphia 1776 Sale to Gibbs Tuesday, October 25th, 2039 The Philadelphia 1776 press and public got a chance to meet and greet the new owner of the Philadelphia 1776 BC today at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum. The new head man is Mike Gibbs, a well-known business tycoon. He bought the club from Nick Dean in a straight cash sale a week ago. The PL commissioner announced completion of the deal and approval by a vote of the owners earlier this week. Gibbs has acquired a ball club that ended up with a 35-73 record last season and was last in the Premier League standings. Gibbs has a reputation for being lenient in disposition and relating to others and for being charitable in financial dealings. |
