Ashley 'Lights Out' in New Orleans Win
|
The New Orleans Voodoo picked up a win at The Voodoo Lounge, knocking off the Philadelphia 1776 BC, 5-2. Starting pitcher Gary Ashley, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The Voodoo keep rolling, raising their record to 14-6.
The BC had trouble solving Ashley, who surrendered 2 earned runs on 4 hits over 8 innings.
"I thought we played a nice game," Ashley told the New Orleans Daily. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
