The Ft. Worth Cattlemen topped the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 3-2, in United States Silver League action at Lang Park. The player of the game was Ft. Worth pitcher and Ciudad Arce, El Salvador native Gustavo Tobías. At 41-33, the Cattlemen find themselves in third place in the Silver League.
Kolby Hay, who is on pace for 66 RBI this season, aided the Ft. Worth cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder went 1-4 with a double.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said San Mateo skipper Dean Ashley, "and it cost us."
